Mt. Everred is a fictional mountain located somewhere in the upper hemisphere<sup><nowiki>[</nowiki>''[[wikipedia:Citation needed|citation needed]]'']</sup>. The mountain is characterized by it's twin peaks, each with a unique climbing trail.

== Evergreen Foothills ==
Mt. Everred is surrounded by an expanse of grassy slopes, known as the Evergreen Foothills. While these are technically not part of the mountain itself, they are a notable point of interest for anyone attempting the climb.

This is the starting location in both [[Everred]] and [[Foreverred]], with both mods presenting the player with the first Gem here.

== forgotten cliffside ==
The Forgotten Cliffside makes up the bottom half of Mt. Everred, and is notable for it's grayish-purple rock and sharp cliff faces. The terrain here is extremely treacherous, with many overhangs and beyond 90-degree slopes.

At the base of the mountain is a memorial, with the following text:<blockquote>-- mount everred --

who skipped the gem</blockquote>This memorial is a hint to both mods' alternate routes and references their high difficulty.

== Ancient Trench ==
The Ancient Trench is located between the two peaks of the mountain, dividing Everred Peaks and the Everred Spire. It can only easily be viewed from above, as the sides of the trench are mostly obscured by rocks.

This location was added in [[Foreverred]] to house the second gem. In the original mod, the gem was located at the base of the Everred Peaks area instead.

== Everred Peaks ==
The lower summit is comprised of an area known as the Everred Peaks. This biome features unique plantlife compared to the lower areas, and features a striking red color palette.

Starting just below the summit, the red rocks are replaced by pink stone.

In [[Everred]], the gem is located within a chest at the bottom of this area. It was moved to the Ancient Trench in the remake.

== Everred Spire ==
The upper summit is much thinner and taller than the Peaks, and is comprised of several smaller sub-areas.

The bottom third of the Spire is of a similar elevation as the Peaks, and features similar flora and coloration.

The middle third of the spire is located at the cloud layer, and is surrounded by a thick fog. Otherwise, it is quite similar to the bottom layer in regards to color and flora.

The top third of the spire reaches above the clouds, and features pink-colored rock.

At the base of the Spire is a memorial, with the following text:<blockquote>-- everred spire --

turn back now lest you

fall like those before</blockquote>This implies that in the past people have perished on the Spire climb, and the trail the player is on was closed due to dangerous terrain. It is likely intended as a warning to both in-universe climbers and players, as the climb up the Spire is extremely difficult.
